North Dakota - On November 19, 2003, Grand Forks County District Court gave preliminary approval to a settlement that would allow purchasers of Microsoft products between March 10, 1996 and December 31, 2002 to receive settlements of $12 for Windows 95, 98 and ME purchases, and $5.00 each for Windows 3.1, Windows 2000, MS-DOS, Word, Office and Excel purchases. The total settlement amount is $9 million, and the deadline to submit claims is October 22, 2004. All of the above amounts are for Windows purchases only; Mac products are not eligible for the settlement.
