New Mexico - On July 29, The First Judicial District Court of New Mexico gave preliminary approval to a settlement that would allow purchasers of Microsoft products between December 8, 1995 and December 31, 2002 to receive settlements of $13 for Windows or MS-DOS purchases, and $6.75 each for Word, Office and Excel purchases. The total settlement amount is $31.5 million. All of the above amounts are for Windows purchases only; Mac products are not eligible for the settlement.
