Kansas - On October 2, 2003, The District Court of Johnson County, Kansas gave preliminary approval to a settlement that would allow purchasers of Microsoft products between December 10, 1996 and December 31, 2002 to receive settlements of $10 for Windows purchases, and $6 each for MS-DOS, Word, Office and Excel purchases. The total settlement amount is $32 million. All of the above amounts are for Windows purchases only; Mac products are not eligible for the settlement.
